Working principles of Fully Automatic Sheet Filter

The plate and frame filter press is filled with mixed diatomite liquid from the decolorization pot or mixing tank through a gear oil pump or centrifugal pump. Under the thrust of the pump, diatomaceous earth forms a filter cake layer on the surface of the filter cloth, first trapping large particles, and then forming countless small channels to trap finer suspended solids, allowing only clear liquids to pass. During the filtration process, new diatomaceous earth liquid is continuously pumped in, forming a new filter cake layer, preventing clogging and allowing bulk filtration of the material. The clarified liquid flows to the oil outlet through the internal channel of the filter cloth, and then to the finished product tank.

 Residue discharge process of Fully Automatic Sheet Filter

 As the filtration volume increases, the filter cake layer becomes thicker, and the filtration resistance and internal pressure increase. When the pressure gauge on the upper part of the filter press shows 0.4Mpa, stop supplying the mixed liquid, start the air compressor, and input the air from the overflow port into the filter press tank. Under the pressure of the air, the oil in the filter cake is gradually pressed out and returned to the decolorization pot or mixing tank through the pipeline. After about 30 minutes, press the filter cake to dry. When the upper pressure gauge shows 0, stop inputting air, open the butterfly valve, start the vibration device, and start discharging the residue. When the residue is discharged, close the butterfly valve and all valves and start the next filtration cycle. The special filter press for decolorization is mainly composed of a lifting frame, a tank, a stainless steel filter cloth, a vibrating slag discharge device, a butterfly valve, a conveyor frame, etc.
