Working principles of Seawater Desalination System Reverse Osmosis
Desalination systems using reverse osmosis work by applying high pressure to seawater, forcing it through a semipermeable membrane. The pressure required to overcome the osmotic pressure of seawater is generated by a pump, and the resulting purified water is collected on one side of the membrane, while the concentrated brine is removed on the other side. The process effectively separates salt and impurities from water, producing fresh drinking water suitable for a variety of applications.
